Alex Leslie is the author of a collection of short stories People Who Disappear (Freehand, 2012), nominated for a 2013 Lambda Award for debut fiction and 2013 ReLit Award for short fiction, and a chapbook of microfictions 20 Objects for the New World (Nomados 2011). Previous work has been recognized with a Gold National Magazine Award and a CBC Literary Award and has been included in anthologies such as the Best Canadian Stories series and Friend. Follow. Recent projects include editing the Queer issue of Poetry Is Dead magazine and completing a poetry manuscript entitled The things I heard about you, which was recently shortlisted for the 2014 Robert Kroetsch Award for Innovative Poetry.
